Today Brittney and I were sitting at the kitchen table and Abbie was sitting on the step behind me bouncing. A few times we watched her bounce up to a stand position and stand for a few seconds before she sat back down. Brittney said I should try to get her to walk to me, so I did. And she did!! (A DAY before she turns 14 months old!!!)
I stood about 3 feet in front of her and held out my hands to her and she took 4-5 steps to me all by herself. We did that a few times and then Brittney stood on one side of the kitchen and I stood on the other side and in a matter of minutes she was walking ALL over the place. Brittney also got a few good videos of it, but here are the pictures of her first walks across the kitchen and living room. (I took over 300 pictures today….)
As you can see, by the end she was even bending down, picking up balls and then standing back up again.
And of course we had to show daddy her new trick as soon as he got home. Here’s him seeing her walk for the first time, willingly, by herself.

Way to go Abbs! (Sorry, but my sister is Abbie and we NEVER call her that. So I have about a million Abbie nick names!) Anyway, great pictures as well. But 300?! =D
