My hometown

As I’ve said a few times recently, I absolutely LOVE fall.  This year I’m extra lucky because I get to experience fall in IL and then most likely again when we go back to Italy.  It’s much cooler in IL than it is in Italy, which definitely works in my favor.
My in-laws were visiting and these are a few pictures I took as we walked around town.  I’m still trying to figure out full manual mode on my camera and I was using my 50mm lens.  Northern IL is GORGEOUS this time of year will all the leaves changing color.  I cannot get enough of the fall colors.  Should be perfect for our homecoming pictures!  =)

I arrive in Galena November 1. Sadly, you will be gone by then, and probably, most of the leaves. Too bad for me. Glad I got to see you (way too briefly) in July.

Did you know that Main Street, Galena was rated by the APA as one of the 2011 Great Streets in America?

I love fall! Especially being in a place where you can actually see it! I have yet to be way up North during that time, the closest I've ever been is Northern Georgia and that was so pretty to me! I hope to some day get a little further to see all the leaves change and the pretty scenery! :)

Oh I love the fall and the pictures you took were gorgeous!

Unfortunately down here in Louisiana, I don't think I'll be seeing all the pretty fall colors but I will definitely be happy about the cooler temps! :)
