Our Valentine's Day

These are the flowers Mark gave me for Valentine's Day. He had them delivered to my work on Friday, but they didn't get there until after I'd already left for the day, so I had to go back and get them. But they were worth it. I got Mark chocolates and underwear (that he really needed). And I made him the dinner he requested - crab legs and twice baked potatoes.

Here's my first attempt ever at steaming crab legs, which I guess was kind of a steaming/boiling combo, but it worked.
And here's the end results with the twice baked potatoes and the shallot butter. It was the first time I'd made twice baked potatoes and the first time I'd used shallots in a dish. Turned out pretty good! The crab legs weren't as good as the ones we ate in FL, but they weren't bad considering we're in OK... Not exactly the seafood capitol of the US.
We pretty much just hung out all day on Saturday, watched a movie and just relaxed. I guess we didn't really have much choice since there's not a whole lot else to do here. If we can get our car fixed on Saturday, we might run in to OKC on Sunday to pick up some things and do some shopping. I hope it works out because I'm dying to get out of Enid for a little bit, even if it is only an hour and a half away.
Here's a shot I took of Mark getting in some good snuggle time with Ollie. I swear Ollie is getting softer by the day, and he was really soft to begin with! When he was a puppy people used to ask us what we fed him because of his coat. We absolutely love snuggling up with the little guy and luckily, he pretty much lives for getting snuggles. He'd stay like this all day if you laid with him.
