5QF

1. What is the funniest thing you saw on Facebook/twitter this week?  It was one of those old fashioned cartoon-ish things that everyone and their mother has been posting lately and said something along the lines of “Here, have my left over bacon ~ said no one, ever.”  LOL!  Too funny.  FB has been slightly annoying lately with all the political stuff on it though.  All the anti-Obama stuff gets really old, along with all the 2nd amendment comments.
2. What is your favorite Olympic event?  Eventing, for sure.  If I could go to the Olympics, I would want to see eventing.  Or gymnastics also.  Love both of those.
3. Do your kids to chores around the house? If so, what are they and how old are the children? Do they get paid for them?  So this week Mark asked Abbie to pick up her toys, and she said, “That’s not my job, it’s mommy’s job.”  …. Oh boy.  (She’s three, for those that don’t know.)  We’re currently having battle of the wills with her where she’ll flat out refuse to pick up her toys, and we refuse to let her do anything else until her toys are picked up.  She’ll learn soon enough that we’re not bending on this one, but it’s tiring in the mean time.
4. If you get bad service/food do you complain or keep quiet?  It depends on how much the food was, how bad it was, and my mood.  Usually I don’t say anything, but sometimes I will.  For bad service, I just leave a bad tip.
5. If you could pick ONE frivolous item for your home, what would it be? (massive room sized closet? swimming pool? greenhouse? etc...)  In my current home I would give just about anything for closets (no, not big closets, just closets period…  I still haven’t figured out where Italians keep all their junk, like a vacuum cleaner???), a dishwasher or an automatic garage door opener.  In a normal American house, it would be either a swimming pool or a sewing room, not that I have any time to sew lately.  These two keep me pretty darn busy!

Oh I agree Monica! I'm getting SO fed up with the politics/2nd amendment/Chick-Fil-A stuff.

I have had to hide a couple people from my news feed, because they were "liking" SO many things that literally that's ALL I saw. Facebook has become so annoying now. I see all the stuff I don't care to see and miss out on the things I want to see, like if my friends or family post a picture, it gets LOST in the sea of "I have to share/like this picture."

Dropping by from 5QF . . .

LOL at the leftover bacon comment. I agree totally. ;-)

Also agree about the whole facebook annoyance factor lately. Sadly, I'm sort of the minority opinion in my neck of the woods, so I've got a lot of people on my feed with viewpoints contradictory to mine. Wouldn't be so bad, if so many of them weren't so darn *vocal* about it all the time.

Oh, and to show you how much I really don't follow the Olympics, I had to go look up eventing.

My aunt used to throw her sons toys away if they didn't put them up every night. I am too cheap for that but I did gather them up and hide them in the closet for a month or so. It worked really well. My cousin's little girl would run around putting all her toys up if she even thought I was coming over :).
