Petaluma Camping Trip (Part 3)

Bodega Bay

The next day we drove to Bodega Bay.  One of my friends had told me that Bodega Bay is a CA must see, and we’re glad we went.  I wish we had had more time to walk on the wooden walkways in the marshy area, but we had to get on the road.  We did have time for a walk on the beach though and I found a tiny sand dollar and the kids picked up tons of stuff, as usual.  There were a bunch of pieces of crabs all over the place but there were signs to not try to eat it because something about it was toxic right now.  But apparently at other times of year this is a good place to crab fish.

Seriously, Abbie cannot walk anywhere without picking up most of what she passes.  It’s one of the things we love about her, but it makes her SO SLOW.

We ate lunch at a little burger place in Bodega and then kept driving north.  I guess I was thinking that the place we had walked on the beach at was Bodega Bay, but the drive north was gorgeous.  Stereotypical, west coast.  It was beautiful.
