Today is Feb 24, 2016 and I’m just now getting around to converting the photos I took on my dSLR in the hospital to jpegs so I could post them on here… I am so far behind on blogs it’s not even funny, but I want these up here so here they are, 10 months later…
I remember trying to nurse J a lot, but also being worried that I was going to suffocate him with my boob, which was far bigger than his head. It didn’t though. =)
I helped give him his first bath, but it’s weird how you forget all the newborn stuff between kids.
Banner Estrella was a very nice hospital, but I’d be happy if we never had to spend time in a NICU (or any hospital) again. I spent most of my waking, and some of my sleeping, moments in his little area for 5 days.
I was so glad they let us bend the rules and have all 5 of us there for a few minutes so we could see the kids meeting J for the first time. Abbie was so excited and Ben was so unsure…
His poor little hand with with the IV’s in it. They didn’t seem to bother him too much, but I didn’t like seeing my baby hooked up to all those lines.
I didn’t even take my camera to Banner Thunderbird bc I was way over the NICU stays at that point. It’s so hard to believe this was almost a year ago! I remember it like it was yesterday.
