Blizzard Bloghop

DSC_0333d

I thought this might be fun so here’s my intro for the bloghop.

I’m Monica.  I’ve been married to Mark for almost 5 years and we have a 20 month old daughter, Abbie and two weinas (Dachshunds), Oliver and Sadie.  I’m 30 years old. (sidenote: I read 4-5 people intro’s on the bloghop and every single one of them put that they’re 20-something.  I find that highly amusing.)  So maybe I should say I’m 30-something so I can fit in with the cool kids.  But I’m not really 30-something.  I’m 30.  =)

Anyway, after 5 moves in 5 years, we’ve landed in Italy.  This blog is pretty much my online diary (and has been for almost 3 years now) of my life.   I write about everything from marriage, parenting, traveling, quilting, photography, the military lifestyle, living overseas to my random babbling and everything in between.  I use this blog to keep family and friends back home (and around the world) in the loop with what we’ve been up to and I use it as cheap therapy to get my feelings out and receive people’s feedback.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you stick around.

Hi Monica, nice to meet you :)

While I am not jealous of moving 5 times in 5 years, I am slightly jealous that you get to live in Italy! We went there for my honeymoon and I have been yearning to return ever since.

Ohhhh, I bet it is gorgeous in Italy!!!

I would like to run a series of stories on my blog called Deployment Stories. It can be from any branch of the military, and from soldiers or the spouses on the homefront. It can be about anything, but I would prefer them to be upbeat stories, not sad, though you can write about hard times, just end it in a positive note.

Moms Around The World. Stories about you as a mom if you are of a different heritage than American. Stories you've found about moms in other countries other than America (give author credits). Stories of how the moms live, how they raise their kids, traditions, morals, etc.

So if you would like to guest blog for me on these, or another topic, please let me know. It’s a good way to cross promote blogs!

I've never been to Italy! A friend went this fall and I'm looking forward to looking at the album she's making of her trip. I'm glad I've hopped my way to your blog! :> Oh yea...and I'm thirty-something too (plus couple more of those 'somethings' that land me in the middle of those years! ;>)!

Hi! Another fellow military spouse here! We actually just left Italy at the beginning of last December! We're now up in Germany. :) I hope you enjoy it! (From the looks of your page, I think you may be stationed where we were!) I look forward to seeing future blogs from you!
