Feeding them in a chair, holding them for a little while and then putting them back in the bed worked the best. They learn as we all do, from repatition. i found that by doing this, by the time they didnt need frequent night time feedings if they woke up they might fuss for a minute but they would get themselves back to sleep. Lack of sleep comes with having a new born I have many friends that still have to sleep with their child and in somecases - children becuase the habit is so hard to break when they are older. In my experience it is a temporary fix! I could have written that exact thing about Sierra's sleep. The answer is: take the baby to bed with you. Seriously. I'm not even kidding. People will tell you it's a bad idea. THEY ARE WRONG! You and she will both get more sleep and everyone will feel better. We never intended to co-sleep, but it was one of the best parenting decisions we ever made. Everyone is a lot happier for it.

http://www.littlebitsandmore.com/2009/02/theres-baby-in-bed.htmlEmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12269313000174591292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6841515977640057681.post-83415791515941834172009-06-03T12:00:08.558-07:002009-06-03T12:00:08.558-07:00I love the family pictures. Sounds like you might have to add in the NUK and start swaddling the heck out of that girl. If she's nursing well and you know she isn't hungry there is no sense in holding out on the NUK at this point. JohannaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
